I am proud to present my latest installation, Botanical Structures IV, the fourth iteration of the body of work I developed whilst in residence at Guldagergård International Ceramic Research Centre in summer 2013 and produced during a second residency in spring 2014. The work is a response to the Danish summer landscape and is slip-cast porcelain. The colour palette is the result of a period of glaze research conducted at Guldagergård and a new foray into the world of soda wood firing, a chance encounter that produced unexpected and astonishing results.
On exhibition in Denmark for the first time, I have brought these pieces back to the land where they were conceived and made and am presenting a new design as part of European Ceramic Context 2014.
The installation will be up for a month, until 4th October, and is at Rønne Library, 1 Pingels Allé, Rønne, Bornholm and is part of European Ceramic Context 2014
Opening hours Monday – Friday 9.30-17.00, Saturday 9.30 – 14.00, Sunday closed
